She later found a love for country music and dancing and learned to play the accordion beautifully. They moved and Ev attended the Ossipee School walking 2 miles each way and enjoyed playing softball. She enjoyed ice skating, and helping with the chores around the family home while helping her mother cook, make candies and bake. John is survived by his son Jonathan Straka of Fargo ND, daughter Jocelyn (Bo Novak) Straka, and grandson Knox Novak of Pine City Mn. John was born to Joseph and Dorothy (Kasprick) Straka, July 6th 1954 in Brainerd Mn. passed away May 25th 2023 at Bayshore Residence in Duluth Mn.
